Okay, You Should Be Listening H(ear): A few weeks ago, I wrote about the enemy’s trick to make what is “right” appear to be “wrong” via many media outlets like the Oprah Winfrey Network, MTV Reality Shows, BET Reality Shows, etc. I named the blog “Brainwashed: The Devil Is In The Details”. And not even a month later, the media strikes again. This time it was by way of the Monique Show on BET. This recent show actually brought another popular saying to my mind: Scratch A Lie Find A Thief. What does that actually mean? In some shape, form or fashion it means if you scratch away at someone [or something's] lying personality, you’ll reveal the truth about that person [or spirit] and his [or its] real intentions. So let’s recap before we move on. In the last two (2) blog posts, I’ve used popular quotes as part of the blog titles. Why did I highlight this point? Because, first of all, it is unlike me to use quote’s that are popular by the “world’s” standards. Instead, I prefer to quote Jesus Christ (you can never go wrong quoting Jesus Christ). The second [and most important] reason I emphasized/highlighted my use of popular quotes, is because I want to emphasize that just because an activity, quote or belief is popular does not mean it is good or correct!
Now, You Should Be Focusing H(ear): So now you may be wondering what was said on the Monique Show that has me blogging?! Well, I’ve included the video below. I’ll pick-up with this blog after you’ve viewed it.
And Now, You Should Be Getting It H(ear): Okay, now that you’ve seen the video, I say again: Scratch A Lie Find A Thief. And the “thief” that I’m talking about is the one that the Bible refers to, in Ephesians 2:2, as the ruler of the kingdom of the air[waves] which includes television, radio and the Internet. The “thief” that I’m talking about is the one that the Bible refers to, in John 10:10, that comes to steal and kill and destroy. Just in case you are still unsure of who I’m talking about, let me say it clearly. I am talking about satan [and the anti-Christ spirit]. Although I do not agree with what Carlton Pearson believes, I am not talking about Carlton Pearson who is spreading this false doctrine. I call it false doctrine because Carlton Pearson saying (and I loosely quote) that he can walk down the street and smile on EVERY SOUL…and see them as REDEEMED BY CHRIST…and on their way to heaven… [between the 5min30sec mark - 5min45sec mark of the video] does not line up with the Word of God which is spoken by Jesus Christ in [Matthew 25:31-46]. This small statement by Pearson has huge implications! For example, by saying (and I loosely quote) that he can walk down the street and smile on EVERY SOUL…and see them as REDEEMED BY CHRIST…and on their way to heaven… [between the 5min30sec mark - 5min45sec mark of the video], Pearson implies [strongly suggests without actually saying] that a blasphemer will go to heaven to be with Jesus Christ. This belief blatantly contradicts what Jesus Christ said in Matthew 12:30-37 that man will be acquitted or condemned because of the words he has spoken! Furthermore, by saying (and I loosely quote) that he can walk down the street and smile on EVERY SOUL…and see them as REDEEMED BY CHRIST…and on their way to heaven… [between the 5min30sec mark - 5min45sec mark of the video], Pearson implies [strongly suggests without actually saying] that a non-repentant, immoral individual (e.g. fornicator, adulterer, homosexual, etc.) will go to heaven to be with Jesus Christ. This belief blatantly contradicts what Jesus Christ said in Revelations 2:14-16 and Revelations 2:18-23 that He will soon come and fight against these individuals that teach this type of false doctrine as well as cause those who tolerate/participate in these ungodly lifestyles to suffer intensely! There are many other Scriptures that clearly illustrate Pearson’s beliefs are not in alignment with Jesus Christ’s words. However, I do not have enough space to include them all. Therefore, I just focus on a couple that show what Jesus says about the topic. And like I stated in the introduction, a person can never go wrong when s/he quotes Jesus Christ. And who should we believe? Carlton Pearson? Monique? Or Jesus Christ?!
Inside Scoop H(ear): Okay. Let me be clear. I am not judging the “24/7 party-er”. I am not judging the “fornicator”. I am not judging the “adulterer”. I am not judging the “homosexual”. Jesus said [not *A*] that HE [nor *A*] was sent to pass judgment.. [John 12:47] because that’s God’s job [John 12:48/1 Corinthians 4:5]. Instead, I am challenging anyone that does not believe Jesus Christ’s words or anything else that is written in the Bible to “cut out” the parts that are not accurate [to them]. And when they do this, I pray that they realize that what remains will be a reflection of their beliefs and their wisdom…not God’s beliefs and God’s wisdom. We cannot just accept what sounds good and what is popular just because it is pleasing to our ears [2 Timothy 4:2-5]. This is what the “thief” wants us to do. We have to know that there are consequences to living life however we choose to live it. So let there be no mistake about it, the entire Bible is the Word of God and God’s wisdom surpasses our wisdom. And even if we cannot “reconcile” God’s intentions in a situation, it is important that we believe that God’s will [whatever it may be] is just and perfect [1 Corinthians 2:6-11 and Romans 12:2]!
Be blessed and believe Jesus Christ’s words above everyone else’s.
